My name is Kyle Emmons and I am super excited to return as head coach this year! I have had the pleasure of being a Barracuda since 2004. This will be my 5th year on the coaching staff and 3rd year as head coach. My swimming career started when I was 8 years old with the Barracudas and year-round with AAAA when I was 13. I also had the pleasure of swimming for Churchill all 4 years of high school and serve as a team captain my senior year where I was a regional finalist and recipient of the Churchill Alex Row Award. Currently I am a senior at Texas A&M studying finance. My hobbies include pretty much anything outside from backpacking to scuba diving and coaching the Barracudas! I cannot wait for this upcoming season!
Hello! My name is Julia Bruce and I’m one of the assistant coaches here at VDN. This will be my 3rd year on the coaching staff and I have been a Barracuda since 2005. Summer swim team is my favorite time of year and I’m super excited! With the skills I learned at VDN I was able to join a year-round swim team and eventually, my high school swim team. I attended Providence Catholic School where I was captain of the team my junior and senior year as well as a state finalist. I am finishing up my freshman year at Abilene Christian University as a marketing major. My hobbies include socializing, knitting, and watching movies with my family. During the summer, most of my time is spent at the VDN pool either swimming or lifeguarding. I am so excited for this summer and this new swim season! Go Barracudas!

I now attend Texas A&M University and majoring in applied mathematics. My hobbies would include soccer, tennis, reading, and exploring. I cannot wait for the season to start and be able to coach the Barracudas once again!
